BREAKFAST
At Saldechin, we provide the very best gourmet breakfast in Adelaide, at a reasonable price. Every individual breakfast at Saldechin is made to order. That means we make fresh Hollandaise sauce, be it lemon, lime or tomato, with every new order.
We are open for breakfast from 7.30am on weekdays, and from 9.00am on weekends.
LUNCH & LIGHT MEALS
The Saldechin daytime menu offers something for everyone. Foremost is Yum Cha. From the traditional favourites such as steamed pork buns ("char siu bao"), pork & prawn dim sum ("siu mai") and gluten free rice noodle rolls ("cheung fun") as well as modern additions such as roast duck siu mai. Yum cha is a healthy, quick and cost effective lunch alternative that is also heaps of fun to eat and share with friends.
For those with a more traditional palate, Saldechin also offers a wide selection of house-baked items to tempt even the most fussy eater. All of our tarts and pastries are baked fresh on premises by our Chef de Patisserie.
Of course, you may be in the mood for just a sandwich. Check out our selection of toasted foccacia, Turkish bread and sourdough sandwiches. As with everything else, we use the very best bread and produce to make even the sandwiches something special.
A few other items of note include the Soup of The Day which is made fresh on premises by our Head Chef, and the ever favourite Asian chicken salad with gluten free Asian dressing.
Are you gluten intolerant?
For those with special diets, Saldechin has a wide gluten free range of yum cha, salads and light meals. These items are denoted by the "GF" on the various menus. Try our fare and you will agree that being gluten free does not mean taste free.
DINNER
Saldechin is now open for dinner 5 nights a week with an innovative and unique menu...If you wish to define our cuisine, you might say it's Cajun Asian. We take traditional Asian cooking concepts and combine them with the sweet and spicy aspects of Louisiana Cajun cooking to create dishes that are unique in presentation and flavour. Each dish is rich in Cajun spice and Chinese savoury with a touch of something sweet to round out the flavours. The presentations are riots of delicious colour and beauty such that your dining experience is a true feast for all the senses.
Our light meal selection is also fantastic if you are looking for a smaller meal.
The Wild Gourmet @ Saldechin
Australia is still one of the most pristine and unspoiled natural environments on planet Earth. As a result, we have some of the finest wild game available anywhere in the world. At Saldechin, we offer a different wild game dinner special. Each is a culinary masterpiece in its own right. Some past dishes include Five Spice Kangaroo Fillet and Venison Back Strap with Blueberry Sauce. If you like game, then we know you will love The Wild Gourmet at Saldechin.
Beer & Buffalo Wings
For those who are familiar with American sub-cultures, Upstate New York is synonymous with Beer and Wings. They are called Buffalo Wings because the recipe originated in Buffalo, New York some time in the mid 1960's. Since then, Buffalo-style chicken wings have spread and gained a mass following across both the US and Canada. If you have ever been to the US and had wings, then we invite you to taste ours; you will not be dissappointed.
